Black lemon tea benefits a lot. Black lemon tea will contain almost zero calories. Black tea does contain antioxidants and is supposedly good for the cardiovascular system. But it isn’t magic. It’s simply a good adjunct to a healthful diet. Tea of any kind, itself, won’t make you lose a lot of weight. I don’t know where that idea got started, but it’s a myth. It can help if you drink unsweetened tea instead of sugary drinks, but it has no weight loss properties of its own.
Black tea with lemon is a good way to start the day. It does contain caffeine (not as much as coffee in most cases) and will give you a gentle energy boost. Lemon contains vitamin C, which is beneficial. It isn’t necessary to drink tea on an empty stomach, but do leave out the sugar.
Black Lemon Tea Benefits
Both antioxidants in black tea and Vitamin C may help boost the immune system, reduce oxidative stress and help fight free radicals that can cause cell damage and lead to many diseases.
Studies showed that all real teas may provide some type of anticancer activity. However, another research showed that drinking black tea that also contains lemon peel may even have increased anticancer activity.
Aiding weight loss
Research showed that drinking 3 cups of black tea per day may help prevent fat accumulation and turn the existing body fat into energy faster. On the other hand, lemon may help cleanse the digestive tract.
Protecting the heart
Both black tea and lemons, especially if combined with walking, may help protect against heart diseases and reduce the risk of a heart attack, and lower blood pressure. Studies showed that black tea could be beneficial for lowering blood sugar and reducing cholesterol too.
